While you can't physically stop your email recipients from deleting your fundraising emails, you may reduce the chances of their doing so by using a compelling subject line.

Be direct with your email subscribers instead of using ambiguous, uninteresting sentences that don't communicate what the email is about.

"Are you fond of puppies?"

This line conveys little information to the reader and speaks nothing about the company. Instead, think of something like this:

You can also mention the nonprofit's name as an additional detail, but keep in mind that your subject line should not be too long!

4. Maintain a personal touch

When asking for donations by email, it's easy to fall into the trap of making broad remarks and generalisations.

However, keep in mind that your donors are all individuals who should be treated as such.
